Job Description
You'll own the beauty brands at Cairo Airport duty-free - the brands we carry, what they cost, how they perform, and how they show up in store. This is a commercial role with real ownership: you set the strategy for your categories, negotiate it with the brands, and are accountable for the margin that comes out of it.
Build and own the category strategy and business plan for beauty (skincare, makeup, fragrance) brands, in line with brand positioning and budget targets.
Source and onboard new brands and manage contracts and renewals for existing ones from the commercial side.
Negotiate annual commercial agreements, trading terms, advertising space, and stock returns on slow movers and discontinued lines.
Own the category P&L: drive margin, monitor spend, and report performance against targets.
Set pricing policy: benchmark against competitors and other duty-free markets to keep us at the best possible price point and recommend adjustments.
Manage stock efficiency: build forecasts, compare against stock on hand, and keep order cycles clean.
Plan and run the annual promotions calendar: launches, activations, displays, and animations, coordinating with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Logistics, and suppliers.
Optimize the merchandising plan and space allocation against volume and margin to support new openings and refits.
Prepare periodic category reviews and benchmark our performance against the market.
Spend time onsite: a weekly airport visit to see your work in real life.
What you'll need to succeed
3-5 years as a Category Manager, Brand Manager, or exceptional Sales Manager with real commercial depth.
Experience in beauty with product knowledge across skincare, makeup, and fragrance.
Familiarity with international beauty brands and the global market, not just the local scene.
Background in luxury retail or premium brands.
Proven vendor and account management: you've negotiated with beauty brands or distributors and know how those relationships work.
Advanced Excel and real comfort with data (reading, analyzing, and turning it into a decision).
Fluent English, written and spoken. You'll be dealing with international brand teams daily.
Commercial mindset: you think in margins and prices, and you can defend a position in a negotiation.
