Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and prepare technical comparisons of new aircraft, systems, equipment and/or components.
Support the integration of new systems, modifications and upgrades into existing aircraft
Collaborate with stakeholders to fully understand operational needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Develop RFIs, RFPs and SOW for aviation contracts/projects.
Perform technical analysis and evaluate the feasibility of proposed capabilities.
Verify that all developed capabilities comply with aviation regulatory requirements, standards
Review substantiation documents and technical data related to modification projects.
Facilitate and coordinate technical meetings with internal sections and/or external vendors
Stay informed about regulatory changes and incorporate them into design and development processes.
Create and review designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for new components or systems, as required.
Required Qualifications Education and experience:
Preferred, Bachelor's or master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.
At least 7 years of experience in the aviation industry, specifically in rotary wing performing engineering activities related to systems integration and new capabilities.
Experience with helicopter systems integration, testing/qualification and certification processes.
Preferred, hands-on experience with helicopter avionics, electronics and communication systems
Experience with test planning, ground and flight test procedures, aircraft / systems acceptance procedures.
Experience in AW139 and H145D3 fleets is a plus.
Skills:
Familiarity with Civil and Military aviation standards and regulatory requirements, including FAA, EASA, or other relevant authorities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
