Job Title: Carpenter / Maintenance Technician (Carpentry)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (EPICO Company - Al Fahim Group)

Job Summary

A skilled Carpenter responsible for executing and maintaining high-quality carpentry works, focusing on both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across commercial or institutional facilities. The role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

-Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings, including doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture.

- Installation & Fabrication: Fabricate, assemble, and install wooden structures and components according to technical drawings, blueprints, or project specifications.

-Defect Response: Provide first-line response to carpentry-related defects, emergencies, and breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

- Inspection & Quality: Conduct regular inspections of carpentry assets to identify and rectify defects, ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards.

-Material Handling: Accurately measure, cut, shape, and smooth wood and other materials using both hand and power tools.

Requirements

-Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within a commercial building, facilities management, or construction environment in the UAE.

-Technical Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of building construction, maintenance techniques, and various carpentry materials (timber and metal carpentry works).

-Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Skilled in using a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.

-Education: Technical Certificate/Vocational training in Carpentry/Woodworking or equivalent.

Other: Good command of spoken and written English. Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulations.
