Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Gypsum Carpenter to join our interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate will have experience in gypsum partition systems, false ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative ceiling works. The successful candidate should be able to read drawings, work independently, and deliver high-quality finishes while meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Install gypsum board partitions, ceilings, bulkheads, and wall cladding.
- Measure, cut, and fix gypsum boards according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Assemble and install metal framing systems for partitions and ceilings.
- Perform taping, jointing, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting.
- Repair and maintain existing gypsum installations as required.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings.
- Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and within project timelines.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on-site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Gypsum Carpenter in interior fit-out projects.
- Experience with gypsum partitions, false ceilings, and decorative ceiling systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of construction tools, materials, and installation techniques.
- Physically fit and able to work on construction sites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
