Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cashier/Accountant to join our fast-paced semi-government service center. The role involves handling daily cash transactions, managing accounts, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial recording for all immigration-related services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-traffic environment and providing professional customer service to walk-in clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesCashier Duties- Handle high-volume walk-in customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Process payments for Dubai immigration services including residency, Emirates ID, and medical applications.
- Issue receipts, verify service fees, and ensure correct payment handling.
- Maintain an organized and secure cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Reconcile daily cash collections and prepare end-of-day cash summaries.
Accounting Duties- Record transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and fee reconciliation.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with company procedures and semi-government audit requirements.
- Coordinate with management for financial reviews, statements, and audits.
Customer Service- Provide clear and professional communication to customers regarding fees and payment requirements.
- Support clients with basic inquiries related to the payment process.
- Maintain a polite and professional attitude at all times.
Requirements- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in cashiering or accounting roles (experience in government service centers preferred).
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills, especially in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in basic accounting software and MS Office (Excel required).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Strong ethics, reliability, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience in Amer, Tasheel, Typing Centers, or Immigration-related offices.
- Knowledge of UAE residency, Emirates ID, and medical application fee structures.
- Multilingual abilities (Arabic, English, Hindi/Urdu) are an advantage.
