The Cashier and categories associate is responsible for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate inventory records in a retail setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
- Answer customer inquiries and address any concerns or complaints
- Ensure that all sales are recorded accurately in the system
- Conduct regular inventory counts and ensure accuracy of records
- Keep the store clean and organized, including restocking shelves and maintaining displays, price tags in case of no customers
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash register systems
- Flexibility to work, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Fluency in Arabic and English
