Job Purpose
The Beauty Category Specialist is responsible for growing and managing assigned beauty categories across luxury skincare, fragrance, makeup, haircare, and beauty tools. The role focuses on driving commercial performance, building strong brand partnerships, and developing the right assortment for GCC customers. This position owns key category levers such as budget, margins, availability, and growth, while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term category success.
Functional Responsibilities
- Own the category budget, OTB, forecasts, margins, and YoY growth targets
- Track category performance and availability by region, product mix, and assortment depth
- Build and execute long-term category strategies based on data, trends, and competition
- Source, onboard, and develop the right brands and products for the category
- Define assortment strategy, pricing architecture, and purchasing models
- Manage a portfolio of T1T3 brands, including negotiations, KPIs, and marketing investments
- Drive brand performance and progression while ensuring retention of key partners
- Analyze weekly and monthly performance including sales, NPS, missed sales, stock efficiency, and marketing ROI
- Use data and insights to adjust strategy across pricing, promotions, markdowns, depth, and exits
- Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Digital Trading, Product, and BD teams to align on visibility, campaigns, seasonal plans, and stock actions
