We are looking for a Category Manager handling our Seafood Portfolio
He will be responsible to deliver profitable growth across the designated categories by providing an optimum portfolio range mix, negotiate supplier contracts, monitor the supply and demand planning and advise internal and external stakeholders on the respective categories.
Key accountabilities
Category Management & Development
- Co-develop the annual plan for the designated categories
- Develop the product portfolio with profitable products based on market insights
- Obtain the needed knowledge related to the category and its key business drivers
- Be the Category Expert and provide the Sales team with specific product knowledge
Management of Suppliers
- Develop a collaborative and long term oriented partnership with suppliers to maximize their support and sustain the business relationship
- Negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts and brand support
- Be the company's contact for Suppliers during new launches
- Monitor and discuss price fluctuations with suppliers
Planning Accuracy
- Analyze and monitor the demand planning of the category to ensure optimum inventory levels
- Work closely with the supply and demand planning team to manage ETA's and lead times of orders and shipments
- Control expiries of the designated categories
Analysis & Reporting
- Provide reports related to Sales, Profitability and Inventory of the respective category
- Conduct in-depth analysis of category/brand performance by channel and spot key opportunities and risks.
Job requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field
- 2-4 years in Purchasing & Category Management or Category Demand Planning experience within the Food service or FMCG industries
- Experience in Food sourcing specifically Seafood is a major plus
