JOB TITLE Category Manager | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Egypt
ROLE SUMMARY
The Category Manager will oversee the execution of strategic sourcing and procurement processes across all Majid Al Futtaim operating companies. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, Category Managers and Leads to develop and implement category strategies that drive sustainable value. Additionally, the Category Manager will represent the Category Lead during annual leave or emergencies.
ROLE PROFILE
- Implement sourcing strategies for projects, ensuring compliance with policies and business goals.
- Manage sourcing activities for new projects, meeting milestones and timelines.
- Lead the procurement team and represent them in weekly client meetings.
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Support the team in overcoming obstacles and driving cost reduction through technical and commercial intelligence.
- Achieve sourcing goals, and savings targets, and manage price negotiations for commercial contracts.
- Analyze spending data, supplier offers, and total cost of ownership to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Improve procurement processes and governance while regularly reporting on sourcing strategies and outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of facility management and technical procurement, with experience in procurement planning and strategy.
- Skilled in tracking savings, supplier analysis, costing models, and ensuring compliance.
- Experienced in using e-sourcing tools like eRFx and eAuctions, and managing supplier onboarding.
- Background in procurement for facility management, soft services, and AMC, with expertise in systems like SAP Ariba and Oracle.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in contracting or category management, with 1 year in a leadership role and a relevant degree.
