Job duty
- Responsible for business planning and strategy development in the FOOD sector,, Staple and basic food categories like rice, flour, cooking oil and grains
- Identify and establish long-term partnerships with direct distributors and wholesalers.
- Stay on the lookout for new suppliers based on strategy.
- Assist in setting the yearly budget/sales target and profit per category.
- Administer the price setting and respect the margin per category.
- Monitor and enhance category/product performance.
- Establish long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Create trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
Monitor price and competition.
- Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category.
job requirment
1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in marketing, supply chain management, food science, or related fields;
2. 5+ years of experience in food procurement, preferably with exposure to diverse categories (e.g., FMCG, retail, or consumer goods).;
3. Strong understanding of market trends, supply chain systems, and category management methods in the food industry;
4. Excellent negotiation, data analysis, and market insight skills;
5. Strong communication, coordination, and team management experience;
6. High sense of responsibility, strong ability to work under pressure, and keen business acumen with an innovative mindset;
7. Proficient in offic systems, and other data analysis tools.
