We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to implement and optimize category strategies within our Food Service (HORECA) business, driving growth, profitability, and market share.
As Category Manager, you will take ownership of executing the category strategy for your product category, managing supplier relationships, pricing, product portfolio, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, all aligned with company objectives set by the Head of Categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement category strategies to hit revenue, profit, and market share targets
- Manage a balanced, profitable product portfolio and introduce new products based on market demand
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and promotional support
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality standards are met
- Partner with Sales teams on product training, positioning, and penetration within HORECA
- Collaborate with Marketing on promotional campaigns and product launches
- Implement pricing strategies and conduct margin/profitability analysis
- Work with Supply Chain and Market Planning to optimize inventory and demand forecasting
- Conduct market research and prepare category performance reports and insights
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive category management experience, ideally in Food Service or FMCG
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration skills across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing
- Adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable working with suppliers, vendors, and agencies
