CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - RESTAURANTS

Food People have partnered with a well established and rapidly expanding restaurant group in their search for a Chief Financial Officer to develop and oversee the full financial function of the business, including but not limited to KPIs, accounting, governance and reporting structures for the organisation.
The person coming on board will be responsible for short-term and long-term financial plans to support the company's operations and on-going growth plans. You will have a significant influence on the strategic direction as well as the continued growth of their business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, cost optimisation, resource allocation, operational reviews, analytical support, strategic financial modelling, and executive reporting to senior leaders.
- Support the CEO with detailed and accurate financial, business intelligence and commercial inputs on all projects enabling effective decision-making.
- Provide insights and recommendations on the financial performance of the company, focusing on key drivers including profitability models, trends and analytical needs.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining standardised financial models, forecasts and budgets across the portfolio.
- Provide financial and business leadership amongst colleagues in the business while building trust relationships with senior leaders across the company through strong financial support, helping them meet business objectives, increase revenue and improve profitability.
- Managing the relationship with external auditors and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and payroll payments.
- Reviewing all financial related policies and procedures for the business.
KEY INGREDIENTS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; MBA preferred.
- Experience of working in a large portfolio with high revenue turnover.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools with advanced knowledge in Excel, financial modelling and analysis techniques.
- Must have experience within a restaurant group.
