About the Role
Are you an expert in Huawei CBS looking to take the next step in a high-scale telecom environment We are seeking a Senior Charging & Billing Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Software Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical management of our convergent billing ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between complex network signaling and financial accuracy, ensuring our rating, charging, and product configurations are optimized for a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Design and architect robust billing solutions for new telecom products, ensuring seamless service launches.
- System Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration of the product catalog, including complex pricing, rating, discounting, and promotion schemes.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Conduct advanced network troubleshooting using PGW traces and signaling analysis (Diameter/SIP) to resolve complex billing discrepancies.
- Integration Management: Manage and optimize the integration between CBS, network charging elements, and mediation systems.
- Performance Optimization: Lead billing performance tuning and system optimization initiatives to ensure high throughput and low latency.
- Revenue Assurance: Execute billing reconciliation and dispute management to maintain financial integrity and minimize revenue leakage.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop advanced Python or Shell scripts to automate billing analysis, data fixes, and routine health audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, IT, or a related technical field.
Required Skills
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience specifically in Charging and Billing systems (CBS/OCS) within the Telecom sector.
- Huawei Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Huawei Charging and Billing System implementations and backend operations.
- Network Foundations: Solid background in 3GPP/3GPP2 standards and protocols, including DIAMETER, Radius, SS7, SIP, and TCP/IP.
- Charging Architecture: Deep understanding of Online Charging architecture, network flows, and call flows for Voice, Messaging, and Data.
- Database Knowledge: Advanced SQL skills for complex data analysis, financial reporting, and critical data corrections.
- Linux Skills: Intermediate Linux proficiency, including shell scripting and system monitoring in a production environment.
