The Opportunity
Our client is a leading and fast-growing dry bulk operating company with a strong international presence and an ambitious growth strategy. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Chartering Manager to join their commercial team in Dubai.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial chartering professional who enjoys taking ownership, building long-term commercial relationships and contributing to the growth of a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial employment of Supramax and Handymax vessels across the Indian Ocean, Red Sea and Mediterranean markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, brokers and cargo interests.
- Negotiate voyage and time charter fixtures independently, delivering commercially attractive results.
- Handle both third-party chartering business and own-fleet activities.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to expanding the company's trading portfolio.
- Work closely with the wider commercial and operations teams to ensure seamless fixture execution.
- Monitor market trends, freight movements and cargo flows to maximise commercial performance.

Requirements
- Proven experience in dry bulk chartering, with a focus on Supramax and Handymax vessels.
- Strong knowledge of the Indian Ocean, Red Sea and Mediterranean markets.
- An established network of commercial relationships across owners, brokers and charterers.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and conclude fixtures independently.
- Experience managing third-party business, alongside own-fleet chartering activities.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and eager to contribute within a high-growth organisation.
