JOB TITLE
Chef De Partie | Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment | Food & Beverage
ROLE SUMMARY
The role of the Chef de Partie is to oversee the back-of-house operations in F&B operations and manage the shift and staff. This role will be responsible for the quality of all food and beverages served including the health and safety, presentation, timing of delivery, and temperature.
ROLE PROFILE
- Support employee training, development, onboarding, and team leadership activities.
- Be fully competent in all kitchen stations and provide production/line support when needed.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and safe food handling practices.
- Maintain awareness of food allergies and food safety standards.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, refrigerators, and work areas are clean and organized.
- Monitor food production levels to minimize waste and excessive leftovers.
- Manage proper food labeling, dating, storage, and stock rotation procedures.
- Demonstrate strong culinary knowledge, including knife skills, meat and vegetable preparation, starch cookery, sauces, soups, garnishes, and cooking temperatures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an upscale restaurant or hotel environment, with previous Kitchen Supervisor experience being an advantage.
- Education: Certificate, Course, or Diploma in Hospitality or a related field, with PIC 2 and Food Safety Certification (HACCP preferred).
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Professional appearance, communication skills, and confidence in interacting with guests.
- Ability to multitask effectively, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
