Job Description

Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations

Prepare and cook food according to company standards and recipes

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation

Supervise and support Commis chefs in their daily tasks

Train and guide junior kitchen staff as required

Ensure all mise en place is prepared fresh and on time

Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of kitchen and equipment

Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards

Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage

Report any wastage or stock issues to the Chef de Partie

Ensure proper stock storage, handling, and rotation

Support inventory control and stock management

Maintain food safety and ensure all health & safety procedures are followed

Assist in maintaining HACCP records

Ensure Commis staff follow hygiene and safety standards

Support team activities and assist in other duties when required

Attend training sessions and continuously improve skills
