Job Description

Accounting Responsibilities:

Prepare supplier payment plan and prioritize as per business needs and direction.
Follow up on collection with each business unit head, update any pending/delayed collections, and report to management.
Validate and approve issuing credit notes to customers after ensuring the item is returned to the warehouse.
Conduct annual inventory counts and periodic audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory quantity and value.
Project accounting to manage contracts, updating contracts log, contract accounting, and maintaining contracts supporting documents.

Financial Budgeting & Reporting Responsibilities:

Ensure that all financial reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the accounting standards, policies, and quality standards.
Develop ad-hoc financial models as required to support business unit management in decision-making.
Gain a deep understanding of the business to deliver comprehensive analysis and develop dashboards of the financial results and key metrics of the business units to leadership about the business status with respective comparisons to budget, prior year, and outlooks.
Prepare budgets on an annual basis using budgeting techniques, incl. zero-based budgeting, incremental budgeting, or activity-based budgeting, and prepare business units-wise budgets/forecasts and consolidate the same to develop the overall company's budget/forecast.
Conduct periodic cost performance analyses to identify cost trends, reveal logical insights, and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
Facilitate budgeting activities, which include providing historical data, assist in variance analysis, etc.. Perform variance analysis on a periodic basis and receive reasons for variations from each business unit.

Work with concerned business units to evaluate and monitor the performance in the following areas:

Revenues and Cost of revenues in comparison with planned KPIs to track overall profitability.
Expenses and comparison with key KPIs to track overall performance.
Accounts receivable and collections and comparison with set targets to track cash inflows.
Accounting schedules and substantiating evidence to support external auditors.
Position of bank accounts compared to current and expected inflows and outflows to monitor liquidity.
Analysis of key financial ratios such as current ratio analysis and liquidity ratios to evaluate the company's investment position.
Coordination with relevant internal stakeholders for the development of Capex and Opex projections.

Funding & Treasury Responsibilities:

Forecast, monitor, and track cash flow to ensure timely payment of due expenses, including suppliers and employees.
Provide management with an overview of expected cash flows to ensure the availability of funds.

Compliance Responsibilities:


Coordinate with relevant external stakeholders for fulfilling the statutory compliances relating to the financial statements (Customs, Zakat, and external auditor).
Prepare the statutory financials of the business units and consolidated financials.
Coordinate with relevant external stakeholders to fulfill the statutory compliances relating to the Zakat Submission and Audit.

Requirements

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Professional Experience: Eight years or more of related experience is required.
Professional Qualifications: SOCPA, CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent.
