Chief Accountant (Russian speaker)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise an accounting team of 5 people.
• Organize and oversee accounting in compliance with IFRS and local tax requirements.
• Design and implement effective accounting processes, including internal control procedures.
• Prepare monthly IFRS financial reporting for a portfolio of investment and holding structures across UAE and Oman.
• Develop and maintain a robust management reporting system for shareholders.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) returns in the UAE.
• Review and approve contracts from an accounting and tax perspective.
• Organize and maintain proper archiving of accounting and legal documents.
• Prepare for annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as Chief Accountant or similar senior accounting role.
• Proven experience in preparation of IFRS reporting.
• Hands-on experience in the UAE with VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and readiness to be deeply involved in day-to-day operations.
• Highly detail-oriented and process-driven professional.
• Advantage: knowledge of accounting for investment funds.
