Chief Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance.

Qualifications:

✔ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

✔ Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Chief Accountant or senior supervisory role

✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls

✔ Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred

✔ Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems

✔ Experience in commodity trading in Oil and Gas is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily accounting operations and lead the accounting team
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, banks, and inventory
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management
