About the CompanyA Chief Accountant for hospitality restaurants is responsible for overseeing all financial operations for a group of restaurants, including financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
About the RoleThis leadership role requires a strong background in hospitality accounting, a bachelor's degree, and experience in financial analysis and strategic planning.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.Analyze financial performance to identify areas of improvement and present findings to senior management.Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
Daily operations management: Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.Oversee cash management and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.Conduct bank reconciliations and review daily bank statements.
Budgeting and forecasting: Lead the annual budget process and collaborate with department heads.Monitor budget performance and prepare forecasts.
Internal control and compliance: Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and local laws.Coordinate internal and external audits.
Staff management: Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and accuracy.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Required SkillsStrong background in hospitality accounting.Experience in financial analysis and strategic planning.
Preferred SkillsExperience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.Excellent communication and leadership skills.
