Job Responsibilities
1. Geological Research and Evaluation: Responsible for comprehensive geological research for oil and gas field development, including stratigraphic correlation, structural analysis, sedimentary facies analysis, reservoir research, and hydrocarbon reservoir interpretation, providing geological basis for the formulation of oil and gas field development plans.
Conduct geological-related research and analysis in integrated geological-engineering projects to assess the development potential and risks of oil and gas fields.
Monitor and analyze the development dynamics of oil and gas fields, adjust development plans in a timely manner, and improve recovery rates.
2. Plan Preparation and Implementation:
Participate in the preparation of oil and gas field development plans (geological portion), including reservoir research, hydrocarbon reservoir interpretation, reserve calculation and evaluation, comprehensive oil and gas reservoir analysis, and risk assessment.
Responsible for the chronostratigraphic interpretation of well locations and 3D seismic datasets, establishing a sequence stratigraphic framework, and conducting lithofacies and sedimentary environment analysis within it to support wellbore operations and oilfield development decisions.
Collaborate with seismic interpretation experts and quantitative geophysicists to ensure that the latest processed seismic data is used for subsurface description, well location planning, and seismic constraint modeling.
3. Scientific Research Projects and Innovation:
Keep track of the latest research progress and technological developments in the field of oil and gas field development geology both domestically and internationally; introduce and promote new technologies and methods to drive the company's technological innovation and business development.
4. Team Management and Talent Development:
Lead and cultivate the geological research team, improve the professional skills and business level of team members, and build a high-quality geological technology team.
Organize internal technical training and exchange activities to share the latest geological research results and technical experience, and promote the overall improvement of the team's technical level.
Job Requirements:
1. Education Background: Master's degree or above in Earth Sciences, Geology, Oil and Gas Field Development Geology, or related fields; PhD preferred.
2. Work Experience: Over 20 years of experience in oil and gas field development geology; overseas work experience or previous employment with internationally renowned oil and gas companies is a plus.
3. Professional Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in the principles and technologies of oil and gas field development geology, including stratigraphic correlation, structural analysis, sedimentary facies analysis, reservoir research, oil and gas layer interpretation, reserve calculation and assessment, etc. Proficient in mainstream oil and gas field software, such as Petrel, Discovery, Jason, Landmark, Geoframe, SMT, and related logging and well logging software.
Able to read and understand professional English literature and materials fluently, with good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
4. Competencies and Qualifications: Possesses excellent research and analytical abilities, capable of independently conducting comprehensive geological research for oil and gas field development and solving complex geological problems. Has strong communication and coordination skills and a strong team spirit, able to effectively collaborate with personnel from different departments and professional backgrounds. Possesses good leadership and project management abilities, capable of leading a team to complete research projects and technical challenges.
5. Professional Titles and Certificates: Preference will be given to candidates with senior engineer titles or relevant professional certifications. Able to adapt to overseas work.
