Role Purpose
Lead financial strategy, capital structuring, investment governance, and risk management for a multi-country mining business. Build the finance function from the ground up and support large-scale growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute financial strategy, capital structure, and funding roadmap
- Lead investment evaluation across exploration, development, and production assets
- Drive capital allocation and project financial governance
- Structure and secure project financing and investor partnerships
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and performance management
- Ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and strong internal controls
- Develop tax strategy and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
- Manage treasury, cash flow, commodity hedging, and financial risks
- Oversee joint ventures, partnerships, and stakeholder reporting
- Implement enterprise risk management across mining operations
- Build and scale the finance organization and systems
Experience
- 15–20 years in finance leadership
- 7–10 years in mining / natural resources
- Experience in project finance, large capex projects, and cross-border operations
- Background in CFO, Finance Director, Project Finance, or Mining Advisory roles
Education
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Professional qualification (CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred)

Special Requirement

- Balanced professional background with approximately 50% focus on investment strategy and financial analysis, and 50% on P&L management and core finance operations.
