Chief Financial Officer

Fortis is scaling its international footprint, and the finance function needs to scale with it — not as a bookkeeping center, but as the strategic backbone behind every major decision Group CEO and the Board make. We're looking for a CFO who can build a unified finance function from the ground up, personally lead fundraising, and speak to the CEO in the language of decisions, not just reports.

What you'll do

• Build a single financial core across Fortis and the international perimeter: consolidation, management reporting, unified methodology across jurisdictions
• Turn finance into a decision-making engine — unit economics, scenario modeling, and clear prioritization of investments and markets
• Personally lead capital raising: financial model, data room, due diligence, investor negotiations
• Own cash flow, liquidity, and working capital in a growth-stage environment
• Drive automation and integrate ERP with billing, CRM, POS, and banking APIs
• Own accounting, audit, tax, and compliance across a multi-jurisdiction structure
• Build and lead the team: FP&A, Controller, Treasury, Finance Business Partners

What success looks like

• Group CEO gets a clear, real-time financial view and makes decisions without manually chasing numbers
• Monthly close in under 5 business days; forecast accuracy within 5% variance
• 80%+ of key financial processes automated
• The company is fundraising-ready at the level of a growth-stage fintech
• Cash flow is predictable, liquidity risk is under control

What we're looking for

• Proven track record building a finance function for a group of companies or a multi-jurisdiction structure — from scratch or in growth-stage
• Personal fundraising experience: financial modeling, due diligence, term sheet negotiation
• Multi-jurisdiction consolidation, IFRS, experience working with Big4
• Strong expertise in unit economics and scenario modeling
• Treasury and cash flow experience in a growth-stage company, including periods of negative EBITDA
• Ready to be a true financial partner to the CEO — argue with numbers, explain trade-offs, and recommend a path
• Fluent Russian, English at B2 or above

Nice to have: fintech/payments experience (GMV, Take Rate, NRR, CAC/LTV), capital raised from MENA/GCC funds, licensing track record with CBUAE/DFSA/SAMA, M&A or IPO-readiness experience, ACCA/CPA/CFA/DipIFR.
