Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, responsible for driving financial performance, governance, and long-term value creation for a growing FMCG business in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong local market experience, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to support scale, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead overall financial strategy, planning, and execution aligned with business growth objectives
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and capital allocation
  • Provide financial insights to support pricing, margin optimization, and cost efficiency

Financial Planning & Control

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management
  • Ensure robust financial controls, reporting accuracy, and timely closing

Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements (ZATCA, VAT, zakat, tax, statutory reporting)
  • Lead audits and liaise with external auditors, banks, and advisors
  • Establish strong risk management and internal control frameworks

Commercial & Operational Finance

  • Support sales, distribution, and supply chain teams with commercial finance insights
  • Drive improvements in inventory management, demand planning, and trade spend effectiveness
  • Evaluate new product launches, channel expansion, and investment opportunities

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key interface with shareholders, board members, banks, and financial institutions
  • Support fundraising, debt structuring, and banking relationships as required

Candidate Profile

  • Mandatory local FMCG experience in Saudi Arabia
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant time in senior leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of Saudi tax, zakat, VAT, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience working with large local groups, listed companies, or well-scaled FMCG businesses preferred
  • Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to drive growth and profitability
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
