Company Description The Egyptian Survey Authority is the national organization responsible for surveying, mapping, and geospatial data management in Egypt. Based in Cairo, it supports public infrastructure, urban planning, land management, and national development projects through accurate and reliable spatial information. The Authority collaborates with government entities and other stakeholders to ensure that geographic data is accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with international standards. It is committed to modernizing its technological capabilities and strengthening digital services to better support decision-making and public service delivery.
Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for leading the Egyptian Survey Authority's information technology vision, strategy, and operations. The CIO oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems that support surveying, mapping, and geospatial data services, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing IT teams, setting technology standards, prioritizing projects, and aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals and national regulations. The CIO collaborates with executive leadership and department heads to optimize business processes, improve data governance, and drive digital transformation across the Authority. This role also includes vendor management, budget oversight, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Information Technology and IT Operations, including infrastructure management, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
Candidates should possess experience in IT Management and IT Strategy, including leadership of technology teams, strategic planning, and governance frameworks.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Business Process analysis and optimization, with a focus on integrating technology to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Advanced knowledge of enterprise IT architectures, data management, and digital transformation in large or public sector organizations.
Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably as CIO, CTO, or equivalent within government, surveying, geospatial, or infrastructure-related organizations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are an advantage.
