Chief Instructor – Physical Training (PT)
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Chief Instructor – Physical Training (PT) to lead the design, delivery and oversight of a comprehensive physical training programme. This role is critical in ensuring all recruits achieve the required standards of fitness and combat readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and continuously improve a progressive PT programme, developing recruits from baseline fitness to operational readiness
- Establish and enforce performance standards, including assessment frameworks and regular fitness testing
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of PT instructors, ensuring consistent, safe and high-quality training delivery
- Oversee all PT activities, adapting training plans based on conditions and trainee performance
- Integrate physical training with wider programme elements such as field training and marksmanship
- Implement injury prevention strategies and coordinate rehabilitation with medical teams
- Manage PT facilities, equipment and scheduling to support large-scale training delivery
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular performance and risk reports to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and feedback
About You:
- Proven experience leading physical training programmes in a military, law enforcement or high-performance environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of fitness development, injury prevention and performance assessment
- Ability to deliver structured, standards-driven training in demanding environments
