Chief Marketing Officer (Middle East)

Role Overview
We are working closely with a large multi-national Energy company who are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing and brand strategy for their Dubai hub. This role will be responsible for driving market positioning, strengthening regional brand presence, and supporting commercial growth across the Middle East.
Working closely with executive leadership, the CMO will play a key role in shaping the company's market narrative, supporting business development initiatives, and elevating the organisation's reputation across the regional energy ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role requiring a combination of strategic thinking, industry knowledge, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and implement the regional marketing strategy aligned with the company's commercial and growth objectives.
- Lead and manage marketing initiatives across the Middle East to strengthen brand visibility and market presence.
- Partner with executive leadership to support expansion into new markets and strategic partnerships.
- Manage and optimize the regional marketing budget and investment strategy.
Brand & Corporate Communications
- Oversee brand positioning, corporate messaging, and reputation management across regional markets.
- Lead corporate communications, public relations, and executive visibility initiatives.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity and messaging across all marketing and communication channels.
Commercial & Business Development Support
- Collaborate closely with commercial and business development teams to support pipeline growth and key client engagement.
- Develop marketing strategies that support major project bids, tenders, and partnership opportunities.
- Create compelling thought leadership and industry-focused content to strengthen market credibility.
Stakeholder & Industry Engagement
- Build strong relationships with industry partners, government stakeholders, and regulatory bodies across the region.
- Lead the organization's presence at key energy industry events, conferences, and forums.
- Position the company as a trusted partner within the regional energy landscape.
Market Intelligence & Insights
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the oil & gas sector.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing regional marketing and communications team.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, media partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance within the marketing function.
Key requirements & experience
- Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Middle East energy market and regional business environment.
- Experience supporting commercial growth, large-scale projects, and strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead regional marketing strategies across multiple markets.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing corporate communications and brand reputation at a senior level.
