Job Description

A leading construction company is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring the efficient execution of strategic objectives and driving operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction operations, project management, and resource management to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve productivity and service quality.
  • Lead business process improvement initiatives, including process automation, digital transformation, and enterprise systems implementation.
  • Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation through data-driven decision-making and performance management.
  • Manage operational risks, HSSE compliance, and organizational performance across projects.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or LEED are an advantage.
  • 22–25 years of progressive experience in operations management, including 5–7 years in a senior leadership role within the construction and projects industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence, process improvement, digital transformation, and enterprise systems implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, quality control, operational risk management, and HSSE requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in construction/project management software, ERP systems, Lean, Six Sigma, and change management practices.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic execution capabilities.
  • Experience delivering operational transformation and large-scale construction projects.
