Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) - Multi-Asset Trading Platform, Dubai

Location: Dubai, UAE (Relocation Supported)

Reports To: Founder & Group CEO

A global multi-asset trading group operating across crypto spot, perpetual futures, FX/CFDs, equities, and institutional API trading is seeking a Chief Product & Technology Officer to take unified ownership of product strategy, trading infrastructure, and engineering organisation build-out. This is a mission-critical executive hire reporting directly to the Group CEO, tied to platform independence, scalability, and enterprise valuation.

The platform is evolving into a consolidated, institutional-grade execution infrastructure supporting high-frequency trading strategies, quantitative models, cross-asset arbitrage, proprietary trading desk deployment, and institutional algorithmic clients. The mandate is to progressively internalise architecture ownership while scaling globally.

This is not a maintenance CTO. This is a trading systems command role.

What You'll Own

• Unified product strategy & roadmap across all asset classes
• Exchange & brokerage trading infrastructure architecture
• Matching engine optimisation & HFT-compatible infrastructure
• Proprietary trading stack (strategy deployment, kill-switch architecture, real-time PnL attribution, backtesting & simulation)
• Liquidity aggregation, smart order routing & A-Book/B-Book internalisation logic
• Risk, margin & exposure engines including perpetual futures liquidation logic
• Engineering organisation build-out: 3040+ engineers over 1824 months
• Vendor governance & progressive internalisation strategy
• Infrastructure & security governance (multi-region AWS, SOC2/ISO 27001, MPC custody)

What You Bring

• 15+ years total experience, 10+ in trading infrastructure or exchange systems
• Built or scaled a live exchange or brokerage platform
• Deep understanding of market microstructure, order book dynamics, and execution quality
• Matching engine architecture exposure (build, optimise, or integrate)
• FIX 4.4/5.0 protocol knowledge
• Derivatives / perpetual futures infrastructure experience
• Prop trading infrastructure exposure (strategy containers, risk isolation, kill-switch logic)
• Liquidity aggregation and multi-venue routing experience
• Tick-level data architecture and backtesting infrastructure
• Managed 30+ engineers across backend, frontend, DevOps, data, security, and QA
• Strong distributed systems and cloud-native architecture expertise
