Job Description
Job Purpose
Supervise technical inspection activities across centers, ensuring procedures, standards, and vehicle examinations are performed correctly, while supporting updates to specifications, resolving technical issues, and maintaining compliance with approved requirements and safety regulations.
Roles And Responsibilities
Strategy
- Review international practices and advanced technologies to support updates to technical inspection procedures.
- Contribute to developing specifications, standards, and periodic inspection requirements with internal and external teams.
Operations
- Supervise technical inspection centers, ensure standards and specifications, provide technical support, and ensure work quality in line with approved specifications.
- Prepare and review technical tests, procedures, and policies for all vehicle categories and ensure continuous updates.
- Manage and review powers granted to technical inspection staff and oversee work permit approvals for examiners.
- Study incoming technical requests related to specifications and vehicle safety and provide technical approval for registration.
- Conduct field visits to inspection centers, document observations, and follow corrective actions with concerned parties.
- Ensure vehicles across all categories comply with approved safety and traffic standards.
- Supervise inspection of written-off or modified vehicles and confirm conformity with approved standards.
- Ensure that the technical inspection service providers for vehicles meet the approved technical standards and requirements, and submit recommendations
- Review vehicle ratings in licensing systems and report required updates.
- Manage customer grievances related to technical examination results and ensure proper resolution.
- Granting a work permit for examiners working in the technical inspection centers for vehicles and the like, according to their qualifications and the conditions adopted.
- Study and address complaints, requests, and suggestions received through official channels.
Product / Process Improvement
- Support development, testing, and certification of examiner requirements and qualifications.
- Identify improvements to technical inspection services and ensure updates are reflected in the central inspection system.
- Implement awareness workshops to communicate corrective measures and improve inspection quality and efficiency.
Physical Working Conditions
- Office-based work with regular field visits to technical inspection centers.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in science or related fields
- 0-1 years in case of Master's degree (2+years in case of Bachelor's degree, 8+ years in case of diploma)
- Preferred: Certifications such as Certified Vehicle Inspector, PMP.
