Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Zahraa El Maadi, Cairo

Work Model: Full-time | Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking a high-caliber, deeply experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's technology direction, engineering organization, technical discipline, and execution maturity.

This opportunity is designed for a proven CTO with the ability to combine strategic technology leadership, strong engineering depth, sound architectural judgment, operational rigor, and real execution control. The right candidate will be expected to elevate the company's technical environment, strengthen delivery discipline, improve engineering standards, and build a scalable technology organization capable of supporting both current operations and future expansion.

This is not an advisory role, a symbolic leadership title, or a position for someone who prefers to manage from a distance. We are looking for a true technology leader with strong presence, technical credibility, decision-making ability, and the discipline required to build and lead a high-performance engineering environment.

Core Mandate

The CTO will be responsible for leading the company's technology organization from an end-to-end perspective, including technology direction, engineering effectiveness, delivery reliability, architectural quality, operational stability, and structured adoption of modern AI-enabled engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple engineering teams and establish a clear technical and executional authority across the organization.
  • Build a disciplined engineering operating model covering planning, estimation, execution, quality control, release readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive architecture and engineering decisions that support scalability, stability, maintainability, security, and long-term product growth.
  • Oversee a multi-stack engineering environment that includes Laravel, React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, and Go.
  • Lead the development and evolution of complex digital products and scalable software platforms.
  • Provide strong oversight for SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures, ensuring sound isolation, security, growth readiness, and operational clarity.
  • Bring strong command of DevOps-related practices, including deployment strategy, release workflows, CI/CD pipelines, production readiness, observability, logging, monitoring, and operational reliability.
  • Raise execution quality and reduce delivery slippage through strong engineering leadership and disciplined operational follow-through.
  • Assess existing systems, teams, and technical practices; identify weaknesses and gaps; and lead practical corrective action.
  • Strengthen engineering governance across code quality, technical reviews, documentation, standards, and execution discipline.
  • Operationalize AI in a structured and responsible way across software analysis, development, testing, documentation, code review, debugging, and engineering productivity.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to translate business priorities into executable and measurable technical plans.
  • Build a technology environment capable of supporting both present needs and future expansion without compromising stability, quality, or execution control.
Technical Profile Required

We are specifically looking for a candidate with strong technical depth and proven architectural judgment, including:

  • Strong and proven experience leading multi-technology engineering environments.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering, system design, APIs, service boundaries, scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Practical experience across environments involving Laravel, React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, and Go.
  • The ability to assess existing architectures, identify weak engineering decisions, and guide teams toward sound technical solutions.
  • Strong experience building, leading, or governing SaaS platforms and multi-tenant systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of DevOps, including:
  • CI/CD
  • deployment strategies
  • environment management
  • release management
  • monitoring and alerting
  • logging and troubleshooting
  • production readiness
  • operational stability
  • Solid understanding of software security, API protection, access control, and technical risk reduction.
  • Experience building engineering environments that are measurable, governed, and scalable rather than fragmented or personality-dependent.
  • Real understanding of how AI should be embedded into engineering workflows in a structured, measurable, and accountable way not as casual or superficial tool usage.
Leadership Profile Required
  • Proven experience as a CTO or in an equivalent high-level technology leadership role.
  • A clear track record of leading digital products or platforms through real production delivery.
  • Strong experience managing multiple teams and parallel engineering streams at the same time.
  • The ability to impose clarity, accountability, discipline, and execution rhythm without damaging team health.
  • Proven capability in rescuing troubled initiatives and restoring technical and operational control.
  • Strong executive presence, mature judgment, and confidence in complex environments.
  • The ability to earn the respect of both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Clear maturity in combining strategic thinking with practical daily execution.

  • Made architecture decisions that materially improved scalability, stability, quality, or speed of execution.

  • Strong enough technical depth to evaluate both system quality and delivery quality.
  • Turned AI from individual experimentation into a real team-level engineering practice.

  • Candidates with managerial experience but weak technical depth.
  • Candidates without proven CTO-level experience or equivalent high-level technical leadership in a complex environment.
  • Candidates who speak well about innovation and leadership but lack a strong record of execution, delivery, and engineering discipline.
  • Candidates without real DevOps exposure or production operations understanding.
  • Candidates who cannot lead across a multi-stack, multi-track technical environment.
  • Candidates who use AI superficially without understanding governance, controls, and engineering accountability.
Important Note
  • This role requires a serious technology executive with real engineering credibility, proven leadership maturity, strong technical judgment, and the ability to raise the technical and executional standard of an organization in a meaningful and lasting way.
