The Opportunity

A leading, large-scale organisation with complex, multi-site operations is seeking an accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its enterprise technology agenda and play a pivotal role in the next phase of its transformation and growth.

Based in Dubai and reporting into senior executive leadership, the CTO will have enterprise-wide responsibility for shaping and executing the organisation's technology strategy, strengthening its digital and technology operating model, and ensuring that technology becomes an increasingly powerful enabler of operational performance, customer experience and business growth.

The organisation operates within a large-scale, operationally complex and service-intensive environment, where technology must connect people, assets, customers and operations across multiple locations.

This is a strategic leadership appointment requiring an executive who can operate effectively at both Board and operational level, translating business priorities into a pragmatic, scalable and commercially focused technology agenda.

The Mandate

The CTO will define and lead the organisation's technology vision, architecture and transformation roadmap across a complex, multi-business environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with commercial and operational priorities.
• Partner with the CEO, executive leadership and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into technology-enabled business outcomes.
• Lead major digital transformation and technology modernisation programmes across the organisation.
• Build a scalable technology ecosystem capable of supporting large, geographically distributed and operationally intensive service delivery environments.
• Strengthen the digital connection between frontline operations, workforce, customers, assets and enterprise systems.
• Establish a scalable, resilient and future-ready enterprise technology architecture.
• Drive greater integration across platforms, applications, infrastructure and data environments.
• Strengthen technology governance, cybersecurity, information security and enterprise resilience.
• Advance the organisation's data, analytics, automation and AI capabilities, with a clear focus on measurable business value.
• Identify opportunities to use technology to improve workforce productivity, service delivery, asset performance, customer experience and operational visibility.
• Evaluate opportunities to simplify legacy environments and improve technology efficiency, scalability and performance.
• Oversee technology investment, budgets, strategic vendors and major implementation partners.
• Establish clear technology performance measures and ensure accountability for delivery, adoption and return on investment.
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing technology organisation capable of supporting both transformation and operational excellence.
• Provide executive and Board-level insight on technology opportunities, risks, investment priorities and emerging trends.

The Profile

We are seeking an established CTO, CIO, Chief Digital & Technology Officer or equivalent enterprise technology executive with a strong track record of technology transformation within a sizeable and complex organisation.

The successful executive is likely to bring:

• Significant experience operating at C-suite or enterprise technology leadership level.
• Proven responsibility for technology strategy across a large, multi-site, multi-business or geographically distributed organisation.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex digital transformation and technology modernisation programmes.
• Experience supporting high-volume operations and sizeable frontline or distributed workforces through technology.
• Strong experience across enterprise architecture, applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data and digital platforms.
• Experience simplifying fragmented or legacy technology environments and building scalable enterprise capabilities.
• Evidence of applying automation, data, analytics and emerging technologies to improve operational and commercial performance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including management of substantial technology investments and transformation portfolios.
• Experience working with senior executives, Boards and business leaders on enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
• A strong record of building and developing high-performing technology teams.
• The ability to balance innovation with operational resilience, governance, security and disciplined execution.

Leadership Characteristics

The successful candidate will combine technology depth, commercial thinking and enterprise leadership.

They will be capable of moving comfortably between Board-level strategy and the realities of technology-enabled frontline operations, bringing structure to complexity while maintaining a strong focus on execution and measurable business outcomes.

Location

The position is based in Dubai, UAE.

Candidates may currently be based internationally but must demonstrate a clear willingness and ability to relocate to Dubai.
