Job Description

We are seeking a warm, energetic, and highly capable project-based learning coach to guide our 9-year-old child through daily academic learning and real-life application. This role blends structured teaching with creative, child-led exploration, nurturing both emotional intelligence and intellectual growth. This guide will not mind mess, will be flexible with studying across many topics, and will

design engaging days that support our child's natural curiosity (without screens or rigid curricula).

The teacher will work in a home environment that values independence, alternative methods, life skills, and real-world applications. A background in Waldorf, holistic methods, and/or unschooling is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate daily learning experiences based on the child's interests and natural curiosity

• Blend academic structure with exploratory, imaginative play/projects across numeracy, science, history, arts, and nature

• Foster emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking, and independence through real-world projects and sensory-rich activities

• Implement child-led, curiosity-driven learning models that evolve as the child grows

• Create and maintain portfolios documenting learning progress using photos, notes, and reflections

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and emotionally responsive learning environment

• Guide child through emotional moments and/or frustrations with patience

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Academic background in Primary Education

• Proven experience working with primary-aged children in both academic and project-based settings

• Knowledge or experience in unschooling, homeschooling, or alternative education

• Emotionally attuned, patient, and confident in supporting children through emotional regulation

• Enjoys play, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (Chinese or French is a plus)

• Strong observational and communication skills

• Based in Dubai or committed to moving

• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative mindset
