Children's Educator and baking instructor
Position Overview
If you love teaching children, have a passion for baking, have experience working with children, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional baking classes, assisting at events, and creating memorable experiences for our students.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Baking Classes:
- Instruct and guide children, in various baking techniques and recipes.
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment for all participants.
- Adhere to strict safety and hygiene regulations. Our students health and safety are our priority.
Pack and Prepare for Baking Lessons:
- Organize and prepare all necessary materials, ingredients, and tools,
- Research and develop a diverse portfolio of sweet and savory baked goods to ensure we consistently offer exciting options to our students.
Lead Baking Parties:
- Serve as the main baking instructor for baking-themed parties and special events. Initially, you will undergo a training period where you will accompany me to observe and learn as I teach the classes.
- Ensure all participants, especially children, have a fun and educational experience.
Assist at Events:
- Support the founder during events where they are the main instructor.
- Help manage the flow of the event, assist participants, and provide additional instruction as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience working with children in an educational or recreational capacity.
- Background in baking, cake decorating, and/or pastry arts.
- Prior experience teaching or instructing in a baking or culinary setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, is mandatory.
- Must be a positive and kind person who can create a lot of excitement for children.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings or weekends.
- Must be living in Dubai, UAE
- A valid UAE residence visa is required (your own visa, or sponsored by a family member)
- Must have access to a car or carlift
