The Role:

The Civil 3D Technician will be responsible for preparing and developing CAD drawings and 3D models across all design stages, from concept to detailed design. Reporting to the Production Manager or a Senior Technician, this role involves supporting engineers in delivering infrastructure projects by maintaining well-organized project documentation, adhering to drafting standards, and ensuring high levels of accuracy. The technician will also play a key role in fostering a collaborative team environment and supporting innovation through an interest in computational design tools such as Dynamo and Grasshopper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce CAD drawings across all design stages (concept, scheme, and detailed) under the direction of senior technicians.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Provide drafting and modelling support to engineers and project teams.
• Maintain organized and version-controlled drawing files and project documentation.
• Collaborate with document controllers to ensure proper drawing filing and record-keeping.
• Adhere to Surbana Jurong's drafting standards and RBG Drafting Manual.
• Ensure high standards in all assigned drafting tasks.
• Promote a collaborative and supportive team environment, aligned with Surbana Jurong's core values.

Requirements:

• GCSEs or equivalent in Mathematics, English, and Science
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the infrastructure field, with strong hands-on knowledge in CAD and Civil 3D drafting and modeling.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
