Civil Draftsman
Role Overview: The Civil Draftsman creates detailed structural and civil drawings for heavy power generation facilities, substations, and digital infrastructure (such as data centers). This role focuses on translating engineering calculations into precise site plans, foundation layouts, and structural blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft 2D and 3D civil/structural layouts, including earthworks, grading, drainage, and paving plans for large-scale energy projects using AutoCAD and specialized civil software.
- Detail complex foundations for heavy power equipment (e.g., turbines, generators, transformers) and structural framing for digital facility buildings.
- Prepare reinforced concrete detailing and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Update drawings based on site feedback (As-Built drawings) and coordinate with surveying teams for accurate topographical integration.
- Ensure all drafting complies with local civil codes, environmental regulations, and EPC project standards.
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil drafting within the heavy industrial or EPC sector.
- Software & Technical Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and basic working knowledge of Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of structural detailing standards, civil engineering conventions, and site utility layout practices.
