Job Description

Responsible for supervising all civil works on the project, including site preparation, foundations, structural works, and finishing. The role involves reviewing drawings, ensuring quality control, and coordinating daily activities to meet construction timelines.

Description:

1- Review the structure proposal and construction drawings for civil work, steel structure work, and Site Condition
2- Make the budget and execution scheme for civil work.
3- Supervise execution of civil works: excavation, foundations, concrete, steel, etc.
4- Control the execution progress, quality, and safety, solve the problems during the civil work execution on time, and ensure the civil work is completed on time.
5- Monitor & Manage contractor and subcontractor performance on site
6- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with approved materials and specifications
7- Coordinate civil inspection and testing activities (e.g., slump test, compaction test)
8- Ensure safety measures and housekeeping are maintained on civil works
9- Make the progress report and other relevant reports for civil work.
10- Resolve technical issues or discrepancies with consultants or clients
11- Track civil work schedules and support project planning updates
12- Verify and approve civil-related as-built drawings and records
13- Liaise with local authorities if needed for civil-related permits or inspections
14- Specify the material, machines, and tools for civil work, and follow up on the delivery and status

Requirements

Educational degree:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Special training, technology use, and language skills:

1- MS Office
2- AutoCAD
3- Civil codes and standards
4- Primavera P6 / MS Project
5- Project Management Certificate
6- HSE/Quality

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficiency in civil and structural engineering concepts
  • Understanding of soil investigation, foundation design, and concrete works
  • Ability to interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications
  • Quality control for materials (e.g., concrete, steel, rebar) and workmanship
  • Reporting site progress and NCRs to the project team
  • Liaison with consultants for inspections and approvals
  • Strong site supervision and team coordination skills
  • Monitoring work sequence and resolving technical issues on-site
  • Ability to ensure safety, quality, and progress simultaneously
