Job Purpose

To oversee and ensure the proper execution of engineering works for the hotel in accordance with approved engineering specifications, drawings, and standards. The role involves coordinating between the owning company, contractors, and technical consultants to ensure work quality, safety of facilities, and compliance during construction, infrastructure, renovation, and maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Follow up on the execution of hotel construction projects (buildings, structures, and improvements) and ensure compliance with approved drawings and engineering standards.
2. Review and approve civil engineering drawings submitted by consultants and contractors.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and ensure adherence to the approved project schedule.
4. Review execution reports and technical test results related to construction materials, soil, and concrete.
5. Coordinate with hotel management regarding required construction maintenance works and expansions.
6. Monitor contractors and consultants performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
7. Prepare periodic technical reports and submit them to senior management during renovation and fit-out phases.
8. Contribute to the development of preventive and emergency maintenance plans for the hotel's infrastructure when required.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects; experience in hotel projects or large commercial buildings is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of engineering codes and technical specifications.
4. Proficiency in engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, and SAP.
5. Strong ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
6. Good knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (HSE) requirements.
