Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

Experienced Civil Engineer with strong exposure to infrastructure works in Dubai, particularly within RTA Right of Way (ROW) projects involving telecom, CCTV and other dry utilities. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and compliance of civil works in live road corridors, ensuring adherence to RTA, local authority, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Site Management:

Supervise civil infrastructure works including trenching, duct laying, manhole installation,

backfilling, and reinstatement in RTA ROW areas.

Execute works related to telecom networks, ICT, CCTV, fiber optics etc.

Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, supervisors, and foremen.

Ensure works are completed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.

2. RTA & Authority Coordination:

Handle RTA ROW NOCs, permits and work notifications.

Coordinate with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Etisalat, du, SIRA, and other authorities.

Ensure compliance with RTA safety regulations and traffic management plans.

Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.

3. Planning & Project Control:

Assist in preparation of project schedules and work programs.

Monitor progress and report delays.

Prepare look-ahead programs, daily reports, and progress updates.

Support cost control and quantity tracking.

4. Technical & Engineering Support:

Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and approved layouts.

Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and ITPs.

Resolve technical issues related to utilities clashes and alignment.

Coordinate with CAD teams for revisions and as-built drawings.

5. CAD & Documentation:

Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings and as-built documentation.

Maintain site records, inspection requests, and handover documents.

6. Quality, Health & Safety:

Implement QA/QC procedures.

Enforce HSE and RTA safety guidelines.

Coordinate inspections and manage site risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.

Minimum 3-5 years infrastructure experience in Dubai is a must

Strong exposure to RTA ROW and telecom/dry utilities projects.

Knowledge of Dubai authority procedures and standards.

UAE driving license.

Experience with Etisalat, du, RTA, or SIRA projects.

Technical and other Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred but not mandatory)

Knowledge of project planning tools (Primavera / MS Project preferred).

Strong understanding of infrastructure drawings and specifications.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work in live traffic and ROW environments.

Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
