Civil Engineer (Overlay Infrastructure)

Role Summary

To support the delivery of temporary infrastructure and facilities required across tournament venues. The role will assist with site setup, installation activities, supplier coordination and venue readiness to ensure overlay facilities are delivered according to operational requirements.

Contract: 3 to 5 months

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of temporary overlay infrastructure across assigned venues
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and material estimates for overlay works
• Support site inspections, measurements and readiness checks
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
• Review and interpret geotechnical and pavement condition reports to inform design decisions
• Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project cost estimates
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements
  
  

Required Skills

• Understanding of temporary structures, site setup, venue infrastructure or event facilities.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of Saudi Building Code and relevant local infrastructure regulations
• Ability to manage site supervision and quality assurance processes
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional engineering license or membership with a recognized engineering body preferred
• Familiarity with Saudi infrastructure and construction standards is highly desirable
• Valid iqama
  
  

Experience Requirement

• At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on road or overlay infrastructure projects
• Experience supporting sporting events, tournaments, exhibitions or large-scale events is preferred
