Description
A well reputed company in Kuwait is looking for an experienced Structural / Civil Engineer in Glass Fiber Reinforcement Concrete work for their projects in Kuwait. Applicants preferably with good experience in Architectural / Structural / Faade Works, etc. with knowledge in Documentation/Client Submittals, Technical Documentation, Drawing, etc.. Also, knowledge in related Computer applications for managing digital day to day activities.
- Understanding the properties of AR-glass fibers and cementitious matrices, and how they interact.
- Designing thin, strong GRC panels and components, often with a steel frame backing, for cladding and architectural features.
- Overseeing production using spray-up or premix methods, ensuring proper fiber dispersion and quality.
- Improving tensile/flexural strength, impact resistance, and durability, while controlling shrinkage cracking.
- Specifying GRC for applications in harsh, corrosive environments (marine, coastal) where steel would rust, and for lightweight architectural elements.
