Job Description

Job Overview:

Overseeing the estimation process to ensure accurate and competitive bids for projects. Lead a team of Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, collaborate with various departments, and utilize industry knowledge and data to produce reliable cost estimates. The Estimation Manager is responsible for managing the estimation workflow, analyzing project requirements, and developing comprehensive cost proposals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of estimators, quantity surveyors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Manage the estimation process from start to finish, including analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, and gathering necessary data for accurate cost assessments.
  • Analyze project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals that meet client requirements and align with company objectives, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather information, clarify project scope, and resolve any discrepancies in project specifications.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and improve cost predictability.
  • Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and reliability of cost estimates, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, and cost-saving techniques, and incorporate best practices into the estimation process to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address inquiries, and negotiate terms to secure contracts and maintain positive relationships.
  • Variation preparations, prolongation claims, Variation preparation, EOT claim, CTC analysis, Quantities and forecast.

Education Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
