Civil QS Engineer

Role Description The Civil QS Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Cairo. The Civil QS Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for civil engineering projects. Daily tasks include analyzing project drawings and specifications, tracking project costs, managing variations and claims, and supporting contract negotiations. The role also involves coordinating with design, planning, and site teams to ensure accurate measurement, cost control, and timely reporting. The Civil QS Engineer will contribute to value engineering, risk assessment, and compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working within Civil Engineers teams, collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and site personnel.
• Proficiency in Planning and cost control for civil projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring progress.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related infrastructure, including drainage systems and relevant codes.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• 4 - 6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Engineer on civil construction projects is highly beneficial.
• Competence in QS and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity takeoff tools).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site in New Cairo, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work within diverse, inclusive teams.
