We're looking for a cleaner who will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across assigned indoor and outdoor areas, including offices, facilities, and landscaped spaces. Typical tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, emptying bins, and cleaning restrooms and common areas in line with company standards. The role also involves safe handling of cleaning equipment and materials, reporting any maintenance or safety issues, and following health, safety, and environmental procedures. The Cleaner works closely with supervisors and team members to ensure a neat, orderly, and professional environment that supports daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize offices, workstations, meeting rooms, reception areas, corridors, and common areas.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, washrooms, sinks, mirrors, and replenish soap, tissue, and other hygiene supplies.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, windows, and office equipment.
- Empty waste bins, collect rubbish, and dispose of waste in designated disposal areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and pantry areas, including washing cups and ensuring refreshments areas remain tidy.
- Refill drinking water, paper towels, hand soap, and other consumable supplies as required.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or unsafe conditions to the Administration Officer.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to company instructions.
- Store cleaning materials and equipment properly after use.
- Support office preparations for meetings, events, and visitors by ensuring assigned areas are clean and organized.
- Follow company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing cleaning duties.
- Assist with other general housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Basic education is preferred.
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility maintenance is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic health, safety, and hygiene standards in workplaces and public areas.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow schedules and instructions from supervisors.
- Capability to work on-site in various indoor and outdoor conditions and lift or move moderate weights as required.
- Basic communication skills in English; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
