A- Job Summary
A Clearance and Shipping Specialist manages daily import and export operations, customs compliance, and freight logistics, coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, and transport teams to ensure cargo moves fast, costs stay low, and all legal rules are applied.
B- Job Responsibilities
1- Plan, direct and control all imported / Exported shipments activities on a day-to-day basis.
2- Review, organize and control all the required documents for implementing a smooth import process.
3- Daily reporting shipments status and expected arrival dates.
4- Handling and following up receiving import / Export shipment's documents plus Cargo X, Nafeeza & create ACID Numbers
5- Communicate with suppliers on (tracking & routing & dispatching, and rate quotations) to achieve the lowest fright cost and transit time
6- Responsible for creating a dynamic custom clearance process, solving the various administrative issues, and building a strong & professional relationship with the service provides.
7- Keep tracking the shipment at port and accelerating the clearance process with the broker
8- Handling banking documents from (treasury, purchasing department) to start custom clearance process.
9- Participating in the development of the Custom Clearance process to improve efficiency of the Custom Clearance Section.
10- Keeping records of all demurrages and work to achieve zero demurrages.
11- Coordinating arrival of shipments with warehouse
12- Following up local transport of shipments
Job Location: 6th of October City
C- Job Requirements
1- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or Equivalent
2- Minimum 4 years of experience in Import/Export, Custom Clearance and Freight Forwarding
3- Arabic & English Speakers & writing is a must
4- High knowledge of Egyptian customs clearance procedures, Incoterms, dangerous goods transport regulations, logistics system.
5- knowledge of SAP & MS Excel.
