Customer Success - Sustainability / Japanese Speaking
Company Overview
The hiring company is a climate tech company providing a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG management platform.
Its services support companies in visualising and managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and addressing sustainability challenges across their operations and supply chains.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for supporting customers after the implementation of the company's SaaS platform, managing the full customer lifecycle from onboarding to retention and expansion.
By working closely with customers, you will help them effectively utilise the platform for carbon accounting and supply chain data collection, acting as a trusted advisor in the sustainability domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, covering the full lifecycle from onboarding through adoption
- Monitor product usage and proactively support customers in resolving challenges
- Drive customer renewals and identify upsell opportunities
- Build strong relationships with sustainability, procurement, and ESG stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with domestic and international teams (APAC and global)
- Support the establishment and expansion of the Japan office and related local operations
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Approximately 3-6 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Project Management, IT Consulting, or client-facing roles within the IT industry
- Strong interest in sustainability, ESG, or supply chain topics
- Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot experience is a plus)
- Japanese language skills are required due to the need to support Japanese-speaking customers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Background in sustainability, climate tech, or supply chain-related fields
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with Scope 1-3 calculations, GHG Protocol, CDP, CSRD, or related frameworks
