This role is responsible to supervise nursing staff, coordinate clinical operations, and ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the line manager to allocate available resources to promote efficient, effective and compassionate nursing care.
• Collaborates with the line manager to ensure appropriate staffing for the current and the subsequent shifts.
• Provides input into executive level decisions and keeps nursing staff informed of executive level activities.
• Coordinates nursing services with the services of other health care disciplines/facility both internally and externally.
• Ensures appropriate orientation, education and continuous professional development for nursing staff.
• Documents, maintains and tracks clinical nursing related information, services provided and other related data in the relevant systems in an accurate and timely manner.
• Contributes to research and development programs within the asset
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• 2+ years post-graduate Registered Nurse
• 2+ years in a senior charge nurse position, or equivalent
• Must have DOH License or DHA Active License
