Job Description

NYU Abu Dhabi, in partnership with NYU Stern, invites applications for a non-tenure track, clinical faculty appointment at the associate or full level in the field of Sustainability at the Stern School of Business at NYU Abu Dhabi (Stern at NYUAD). We seek scholars/practitioners of the highest caliber equipped to teach courses at the intersections of corporate sustainability and business.

Applicants should have an extensive track record of developing and implementing corporate sustainability practices at the firm or industry level and/or of developing and teaching courses related to corporate sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and related areas. A proven record of institution building and service is also desirable. Responsibilities include developing/teaching core and elective corporate sustainability courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and EMBA-level and advancing sustainability-related initiatives at the university level and in the broader community.

Candidates should have extensive industry/professional experience (e.g., 10+ years) in the field of sustainability and/or a relevant terminal degree (e.g., PhD, JD, MBA, MPA, MPS) in operations, management, strategy, environmental science, economics, finance or a related discipline with a focus on sustainability. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to teach with an interdisciplinary and applied approach. They are expected to have an established record in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level for a business school in corporate sustainability, ESG, and related areas, and/or substantial, relevant industry experience that might be considered in lieu of academic teaching experience.
