| | Basic Function and Responsibility:The Clinical Teaching Assistant (TA) collaborates closely with the Clerkship Director, supporting the execution, monitoring, and assessment of Clinical clerkships. Furthermore, post-clerkship, the TA is anticipated to facilitate teaching during the pre-clerkship phase.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:. Organize and participate in clinical assessments and exams, including OSCEs, MCQs, case presentations, and discussions.. Engage in teaching fundamental clinical skills during the pre-clerkship phase - this includes session preparation, delivery, and evaluation.. Act as a liaison between teaching hospitals and the College of Medicine (CMED), aiding academic staff and clinicians in their educational duties.. Facilitate small and large group teaching, like lectures, clinical rounds, PBL sessions etc.. Assist in organizing students clinical rotations during clerkship training.. Support and participate in clinical CME/CPD activities, including faculty development.. Maintain records related to student attendance and both formative and summative assessments.. Lead group discussions, catering to small groups or entire classes.. Compile and present student progress reports at the end of each semester using E-value..Monitor and guide student learning at the clinical teaching sites.. Manage the distribution and collection of course evaluation questionnaires for each clerkship rotation. |
