Open Source Private Cloud Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Open Source Private Cloud Architect to design and govern missioncritical private cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack and KVM, supporting financial and sovereign environments.
The role focuses on architecture integrity, resilience, security and longterm operability, rather than application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define overall private cloud architecture (HLD) based on OpenStack/KVM
- Design multisite, multiregion architectures including Active/Standby DR
- Define availability, scalability, security and operational models
- Provide technical governance for integration of storage, network and security platforms
- Review and guide lowlevel designs (LLD) and implementation decisions
- Support production readiness, DR drills and architecture evolution
Required Skills & Experience
- Familiar with enterprise storage, security and HSM platforms (e.g. SAN/NAS, Firewall, HSM); vendorspecific experience is not mandatory.
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure / cloud engineering
- Strong handson knowledge of OpenStack core components and KVM
- Experience with enterprise storage and network integration
- Proven experience in financial, regulated or missioncritical environments
- Deep understanding of HA, DR, RPO/RTO and Day2 operations
- Strong documentation and architecture communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in Middle East financial or sovereign cloud projects
- Exposure to thirdparty security platforms (FW, WAF, IAM, HSM)
- Automation experience (Ansible, Terraform)
